The Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine exposed an organized group in the Lviv region that established the production and sale of fake clothes, shoes and hats under the brand name "Moncler", as well as headphones and watches under the guise of products Apple Inc. Losses to trademark owners exceed UAH 98 million. — Ukrinform.
"The investigation established that since August 2025, the organizer of the group - an individual entrepreneur from the city of Busk, Zolochiv district - involved seven more persons in illegal activities, including his wife and accomplices. Two of the defendants set up and controlled the work of sewing shops, where they made clothes and put fake tags and labels on them. Two more transported fabric, accessories and finished products between workshops, warehouse and retail outlets.
A separate participant made fake tags and price tags in his own printing house. The products were advertised and sold through Instagram, Telegram, Prom.ua and their own online store.
During searches of two stores, a warehouse, two sewing shops and the organizer's place of residence, detectives seized a large batch of counterfeit clothing, shoes, hats, headphones and watches, as well as equipment and materials for their manufacture.
Eight members of the group were notified of suspicion under Part 229 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and the organizer was additionally notified of Part 229 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for the sale of counterfeit electronics.
The procedural management is carried out by prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office. Operational support was provided by the 6th Border Guard Volyn Detachment of the SBGS and the Cyber Police.
