Context
It is noted that the propagandists, having residence permits in the EU countries (in particular in Germany), came to Prague under the guise of documentaries. They tried to record interviews with local experts and politicians in order to create an illusion of "objectivity" and promote Kremlin narratives about the "decline of Europe". After the journalists exposed the film crew right at the meeting place, the propagandists fled.
The CPO reminded that earlier the UK and the EU imposed sanctions against the Rybar media project, its leader Mykhailo Zvinchuk and nine other project participants for interfering in elections in different countries and spreading anti-Ukrainian narratives.
What's next
It is noted that this investigation clearly proves that despite the sanctions imposed, Russian agents of influence manage to find loopholes and continue to work in Europe. This requires increased attention both from the governments and law enforcement agencies of European states, and from society itself, because the spread of disinformation and the hybrid influence of the Kremlin pose a direct threat to the national security of the EU countries.
