Currently, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy has already sent out for approval the application of a similar discount in October, November and December of this year, said the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotskyi.
He recalled that the Ministry had received an appeal from exporters at the end of July regarding the need to regulate minimum prices. In August, the government reduced them by almost 30%.
This should have facilitated cheaper exports, but despite the busy logistics, export prices in August remained high and affected the level of September prices.
According to the official, it is currently impossible to revise prices, since the decision on the minimum export prices is made once a month – on the 10th.
"For a quick adjustment, it is necessary to amend the law, and this is quite difficult. Today, such a recommendation is to consider the possibility of changes in the basis of supply conditions," Vysotsky explained.
Earlier it was reported that the intensification of attacks in the Black Sea limited the supply of grain from Ukraine and became one of the factors in the growth of world food prices to a maximum since November 2022.
Previously, farmers stated that the state may be late in compensating farmers for the lost crop and other state support programs: if payments occur after it is necessary to buy seeds and fuel, it no longer helps carry out the next sowing.
