The situation with air quality in Ukraine on the morning of September 17 is quite contrasting — the air in Dnipro is five times dirtier than the air in Uzhhorod. However, nowhere does pollution pose a threat to the population.
This is reported by EcoPolicy based on data from the international monitoring platform IQAir.
According to the average indicators from the monitoring stations, there is good air quality in Kyiv. However, the content of fine dust PM2.5 is slightly higher than normal. It is 8 μg/m3, while the upper permissible limit from the World Health Organization is 5.5 μg/m3.
In some locations, the air quality is in the "yellow" zone of medium-intensity pollution. Eugene Konovalets dust concentration is 23.2 μg/m3, which is more than four times higher than normal. Khotkevych dust content as of the morning — 11 μg/m3.
