Operational services found fragments of the fiberglass hull, electronic components, cables and batteries, parts of the wings with the inscription "Geranium-4" and the propulsion system – a partially damaged turbojet engine at the crash site of the UAV.

All found parts of the device were sent for examination. The Moldovan police assured that no other dangerous devices or explosives were found at the scene of the incident.

As Ukrinform reported, on the morning of Thursday, September 24, in Moldova, residents of two districts near the border with Ukraine reported explosions, and later the police found the wreckage of the drone.

Fragments of a drone with elements characteristic of the Gerbera, used by the Russian Federation, were found near the village of Chernitsa, Floresti district, Moldova.

Context

According to law enforcement officers, the drone exploded outside the residential area of the village of Kotyuzheny, Brychany district, at an altitude of 10 meters after colliding with trees. The blast damaged trees within a radius of about 25 meters.

The Moldovan border patrol found the wreckage of this drone on Thursday evening, September 24, about 1.7 kilometers from the state border. Earlier on the same day, the country's Ministry of Defense reported that a few hours earlier, four air objects had illegally crossed Moldova's airspace.
