In Brasilia, the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District opened an interactive exhibition "Puzzle da Unidade" ("Puzzle of Unity"), dedicated to the history, culture and regional diversity of Ukraine. — Ukrinform.

In particular, visitors can learn about the Askania-Nova Biosphere Reserve, a saltworks in Drohobych that has been operating since the 14th century, poetess Lesya Ukrainka, Cossack seagull boats, Kosiv ceramics, as well as the Mriya aircraft.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Francisco Andre, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Brazil, Igor Abdalla Medina de Sousa, Head of the Central and Eastern Europe Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, and chairman of the Cultural Council of the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District, Jean Marie Marrocus Malacayas.

The exhibition was organized on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine's independence. She will work in the foyer of the plenary hall of the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District of Brasilia until September 30.

Details

As Ukrinform reported, the first Ukrainian Bookshelf in the state was opened at the University of Santa Catarina (UDESC) in Florianopolis.

Context

The exposition is a map of Ukraine, composed of 20 illustrated elements with two-sided content. They represent the country's regions through key cultural or historical symbols and together highlight its diversity and richness of cultural heritage.

During the opening ceremony, Chargé d 'Affaires of Ukraine to Brazil Oleh Vlasenko noted that Russia destroyed the Mriya aircraft in 2022, but not the ability of Ukrainians to dream and create. He also stressed that Russia continues the war against Ukraine, attacks Ukrainian cities and cultural heritage.
