Ukrainian basketball player Shulga played the first official match for Real Madrid
Defender of the national basketball team of Ukraine Maxim Shulga played the first official match for Real Madrid during the Euroleague Super Cup, the debut draw of which takes place in Abu Dhabi (UAE). — Ukrinform.
According to the FBU, Shulga played 5 minutes in the semifinal match against Dubai, for which he did not make a single throw, made 2 losses and 2 fouls, Ukrinform reports.
Real Madrid defeated Dubai in overtime (98:95) and made it to the final, where they will play against Greek Olympiakos on September 19. The match starts at 20.00 Kyiv time.
In August, Shulga signed a two-year contract with Real Madrid.
In the same month, Maksym made his debut for the national team of Ukraine, having played two qualifying matches for the World Cup-2027. In the games against Greece and Montenegro, he averaged 14.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists.
